Secretary Tillerson: The Pundits Weigh In [Video Essay]

  • So by now its official: Rex Tillerson was nominated by Doanld Trump, as his choice for the United States Secretary of State.

  • In the mean time, there has been enough time for various pundits to weigh in on the Trump SCOTUS appointment.

  • One such example, was former Assistant Secretary of State, Robert Charles. Charles went on Fox and Friends this morning and stated that he feels that the appointment of Tillerson, is nothing but a 'brilliant out of the box choice'(!)

Another Pundit was Laurah Ingraham, who also got on Fox & Friends to say that the Tillerson pick is 'frankly pretty genius'

So where does this leave us? I am all for the wait and see. Especially that I will wait to see who Tillerson's deputy - a personal favorite of mine, John Bolton.

In the meantime Trump defended his appointment versus the criticism of the Tillerson Russian connection from none other then of McCain, Rubio, and Other Neocons...

In the meantime, Rand Paul also went on Fox News to Rebuff Rubio, and rather wisely said that Tillerson should not be Pre-Judged.

In the meantime he went on ABC earlier this week, saying that he will use all his power to stop John Bolton from getting anywhere near the Secretary of State.
“I think John Bolton is so far out of it, and has such a naïve understanding of the world, if he were to be the assistant or the undersecretary for Tillerson, I’m an automatic ‘No’ on Bolton,”.

With that said, things are looking good at the moment for Team Trump, as the Trump - with the help of his transition team - has come up with some truly unorthodox appointments, which personally I find refreshing and rather interesting.

As I always say, only time will tell...
