Bannon vs Priebus - Or is it?

I was not surprised to learn this afternoon that President-elect Donald Trump announced that Stephen K. Bannon will be the White House Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor, while Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus will serve as White House Chief of Staff.

According to the press release by Trump this move is just a natural progression of his campaigns leadership:
“Bannon and Priebus will continue the effective leadership team they formed during the campaign, working as equal partners to transform the federal government, making it much more efficient, effective and productive,” stated a press release from Trump’s transition team on Sunday. “Bannon and Priebus will also work together with Vice President-elect Mike Pence to help lead the transition process in the run-up to Inauguration Day.”

“I am thrilled to have my very successful team continue with me in leading our country,” stated President-elect Trump per the press release. “Steve and Reince are highly qualified leaders who worked well together on our campaign and led us to a historic victory. Now I will have them both with me in the White House as we work to make America great again.”
For those of you who do not know, both Priebus and Bannon were in the running for the position of chief of staff, with Priebus - being the RNC chair since 2011 - viewed as the establishment candidate, while Bannon - being the editor in chief of Breitbart since 2012 - as the anti establishment/ alt-right candidate.

The way I see it, once again Trump shows - surprisingly I must add - how to adjust to Washington politics while at the same time catering to his base the Alt-right, you know the people who got him here...

Say what you want about Priebus, he was there for Trump and Trump clearly appreciates him, and made sure he got the position which Trump feels he could utilize his talents best. On the other hand, Trump recognizes how critical Bannon and the alt-right was in getting him to where he is, and keeping Bannon around as the chief adviser - from what inside sources tell me - is a way to not only let the alt-right now where his alliances lie, but also a way to keep Priebus in line.

In the mean time watch this great Video by Alex Jones from InfoWars on the topic to quell your fears...
