BREAKING: Sick @UN, #Jewish Ties to #TempleMount Null

According to HaAretz and other news outlets, the The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has just adopted (this Thursday), an anti-Israel resolution that disregards Judaism's historic connection to the Temple Mount and casts doubt on the link between Judaism and the Western Wall.

Twenty-four countries voted in favor of the decision (!) while six voted against and 26 abstained while just two were missing from the vote.

The U.S., Britain, Germany, Holland, Lithuania and Estonia voted against the resolution.

The resolution, which condemns Israel on several issues regarding Jerusalem and its holy sites, was advanced by the Palestinians alongside Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar and Sudan.

The resolution asserted that Jerusalem is holy to the three monotheistic religions: Judaism, Islam and Christianity.

However, it includes a special section dealing with the Temple Mount, which says the site is sacred only to Muslims and fails to mention that it is sacred to the Jews as well.

In fact, it mentions neither the Hebrew term for the site – Har HaBayit – nor its English equivalent, the Temple Mount. The site is referred to only by its Muslim names – Al-Aqsa Mosque and Haram al-Sharif.

Of course the United Nations anti Israel bias is not new, and not uprising...

What so sickening, and as reported by Fox News, is that it is our very own US tax dollars, that are being used by the United Nations and its affiliates to undermine Israel, and the Global Jewish community on regular basis.

According to the report,
Each year the United States gives approximately $8 billion in mandatory payments and voluntary contributions to the United Nations and its affiliated organizations. The biggest portion of this money – about $3 billion this year – goes to the U.N.’s regular and peacekeeping budgets. [... which is a whoping] 22 percent of the regular budget (approximately $622 million) and over 28 percent of the peacekeeping budget (approximately $2.402 billion).

When you look closer at the numbers, the U.S. is accessed pays annually, more than 176 other member states combined for the regular budget and more than 185 countries combined for the peacekeeping budget.
This is more than a complaint about dollars. It’s also about the value received for those outsized contributions.
Consider (based on the fox news report):
· An independent academic study assessing best and worst practices among aid agencies ranked U.N. organizations among the worst.
· Numerous reports, audits, and investigations have revealed mismanagement, fraud and corruption in procurement for U.N. peacekeeping.
· Studies and reports have identified U.N. peacekeepers as the source of the cholera outbreak that ravaged Haiti starting in 2010, leaving more than 8,000 dead and more than 600,000 seriously sickened.
· A 2014 study of eight of the nine U.N. peacekeeping operations with a mandate to protect civilians found that peacekeepers “did not report responding to 406 (80 per cent) of [the 570] incidents where civilians were attacked.”
· U.N. personnel have been accused of sexual exploitation and abuse in Bosnia, Burundi, Cambodia, Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, Kosovo, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Sudan. Recent news stories from the Central African Republic and Haiti indicate the problem is still far too common and the U.N. is more interested in concealing the issue than in confronting it
· Atop all that, U.N. employees enjoy extremely generous benefits and salaries—over 32 percent higher than U.S. civil servants of equivalent rank.
With a Trump presidency that focuses on economic growth and fiscal responsibility, you can surely expect some serious review of our financial backing of the U.N for tall the above reasons and beyond...

It is for this reason that UN officials, such as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad al-Hussein, are claiming that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump poses a threat to world order...
Coming this November 8th, we will see if the American people have had enough and will no longer allow themselves to be ripped of by the entire world - especially by those who go against their very own interests...
