As you probably heard by now, President Donald Trump has issued an Executive Order which temporarily limited immigration and travel from some of the terror-prone nations - a list made by the Obama administration.
Much in line with common liberal logic, Democrats and their allies have called the Executive Order a “Muslim ban,”...
The Political Insider has exposed this liberal lie for what it is and helped explain to those who sought the truth what the president’s Executive Order actually covers...
According to reports, President Trump’s Executive Order, thus far, has divided many Republicans in Congress, with some issuing strong statements on both sides of the issue.
According to statements tabulated by The Washington Post, 19 Republicans are opposed to the Executive Order, 31 were identified as having “reservations/decline to fully support,” and 65 are in full support.
Now, one of my favorite Congressman and rising conservative stars Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, has just released a statement voicing his support for President Trump’s Executive Order.
Here’s a copy of Gowdy’s statement courtesy of the Congressman’s office:
“Our nation has a long and rich history of welcoming those fleeing persecution. We also have a long and rich history of liberating those suffering under oppression. We are the most welcoming and generous country in the world, and we are a country of immigrants. The world we find ourselves in is dangerous and becoming increasingly so. Since national security and public safety are the preeminent functions of government, there is a fundamental duty to ensure the necessary background investigations can be done to stop anyone intent on doing harm from exploiting Americans’ generosity and taking more innocent lives.American people deserve border and interior security. They deserve to know who is coming to our country, for what purpose, and for how long. They deserve to be assured those seeking entry into the country – regardless of the length of stay – have been vetted thoroughly and do not represent a security risk.I am committed to doing everything we can to keep Americans safe just as I am committed to defending religious liberty and providing refuge to those fleeing persecution.”
But in the end of the day, Gowdy's support is rather useles as the media continues to freak-out over Trump’s order, and spread their #FakeNews...
In their despicable lying fashion, they conveniently ignore the precedent for such orders, as associated when both Presidents Obama and George W. Bush instituted “extreme vetting” during their time in office...
For example, in 2015, Obama signed a law requiring “extreme vetting” of individuals from the 7 countries covered by President Trump’s Executive Order. In fact, as I mentioned, that’s where the Trump list comes from.
Imagine that...
