Trump Begins to Sign Executive Orders (DAY 1)

One of the things I promised my readers from the get go is honesty and integrity. And while I defended Trump vehemently throughout the campaign trail and the transition period, that does not mean I am going to give President Trump (I cant believe I am actually writting that -LOL) a pass.

FAR FROM IT...

This is my promise: I am going to try to examine every piece of legislation and executive order to the best of my abbility and let you - the people - know what it means for you...

I supported the Trump revolution from day one, but for this revolution to continue we need to be vigilant - DC has an odd way of tainting the perspectives of elected officials on why and how they got there...

So as was reported, mere hours after taking the oath of office, President Donald Trump got to signing... The new president signed a series of executive actions, most of which had to do with his Cabinet appointees and procedural matters, according to his press secretary, Sean Spicer.

See here:

One was a law to allow James Mattis to take the office of Secretary of Defense, waiving the requirement that the nominee be a civilian for the past seven years (Mattis retired from the Marine Corps in 2013) - as seen in the video - and other of President Trump’s Cabinet picks, including Scott Pruitt for the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, Mattis for Defense, and John Kelly for the Department of Homeland Security.

Trump also signed a proclamation creating the National Day of Patriotism - wonder what that is.

Later in the day President Trump, followed up on his campaign pledge to start chipping away at Obamacare and curb federal regulations.

At the White House, after officially singing the appointment for General Kelly, Trump signed an executive order Friday evening in the Oval Office “to ease the burden of Obamacare as we transition to repeal and replace,” as told to reporters by White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus also sent a memo titled “Regulatory Freeze Pending Review” to block all pending regulations under review but not yet in the Federal Register.

According to reports, the new president’s goal is to repeal the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, which will require congressional actions...

However as pointed out by the DailySignal, “Potentially the biggest effect of this order could be widespread waivers from the individual mandate,”

Currently, individuals who do not have health insurance and do not qualify for an exemption must pay a $695 annual fee or up to 2.5 percent of annual household income.
I will keep you posted as I get more information...
