The 68 members make up more than a quarter of Democrats in the House of Representatives. The members are from 26 states, including 16 from California.
Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), who made waves last week by testifying against the attorney general nomination of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), after giving sessions high praise some other time, said he will attend but vowed to fight Trump's agenda...
The "Outnumbered" panel reacted, highlighting Charles Krauthammer's argument that this boycott is "not a good sign." Krauthammer said this is a sign of "the loosening of the threads" of our constitutional system.
Meghan McCain agreed that this "is a bad look all around" and makes these Democrats look like "partisan hacks."
Chris Stirewalt said the group of Democrats are showing "an inability to control their feelings and focus on the work of government."
"[Donald Trump] is calling the tune and they are dancing to it and it's a political miscalculation. It's also not healthy for the country," he said, predicting that this will get worse at future inaugurations.
