Apparently
the whole MSM and many conservative pundits lost it yesterday, because when Hannity
asked Trump if he would change current parts of the law to accommodate
law-abiding citizens or longtime residents who have raised children in the U.S. Trump answered, "there could certainly be a softening
because we're not looking to hurt people […] we want people -- we have some
great people in this country".
In other words, and as stated by FOX News here, "His
remarks were the latest sign he is considering softening a position he has
taken since the onset of his campaign".
However in a interview shortly after with Anderson Cooper, Trump takes a strong position as always. As stated on Info Wars here, when asked if there would be a path to legalization for illegal immigrants who haven’t committed a crime, Trump said, “No, there’s not a path. There is no path to legalization, unless people leave the country — well, when they come back in, if they come back in, then they can start paying taxes, but there is no path to legalization, unless they leave the country and come back.”

So is this a softening, or is it just using o softer tone for the same policy - you decide....
