U.S. President Donald Trump was furious with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas during his recent visit to Israel. According to an Israeli television report which quoted an unnamed American source present at the meeting between Trump and Abbas, Trump yelled at Abbas for lying to him about Palestinian incitement against Israel.
“You tricked me in DC! You talked there about your commitment to peace, but the Israelis showed me your involvement in incitement [against Israel],” Trump is said to have shouted at Abbas. The report said Abbas was shocked into silence for a number of minutes before the meeting continued.
Abbas later confirmed the tongue lashing in a meeting with PLO leaders.
During a joint press conference at the White House during Abbas’ recent trip to Washington, the Palestinian Authority president stated, “We are raising our youth, our children, our grandchildren on a culture of peace.”

The incitement by Abbas, his media and government officials has been documented extensively by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW). Most recently, the organization exposed that the Palestinian village of Burqa named its new women’s center after Dalal Mughrabi, a Palestinian woman terrorist who was responsible for the Costal Road Massacre of 1978. In that attack on an Israeli bus, 38 people were killed, including 13 children and 71 were wounded.
After PMW exposed that Norway and the UN had participated in funding the center (Norway later demanded its money back), the head of the village council, Sami Daghlas, called Mughrabi a “hero” and refused to consider a new name.”The center has no intention of caving in to the pressure and change its name,” he said.
