When it comes to the
subspecies known as the Modern American Jew, none other than Alan Dershowitz
fits the bill so perfectly.
Dershowitz - a retired,
ivy league academic - is an arrogant, pretentious, know it all lawyer, who
happens to also be an active advocate for civil rights and a regular
contributor to CNN.
He also is ostensibly an expert on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and has even authored a NYT best seller about it!

From Dershowitz’s
perspective, there are very few who have had the right course of action for the
region in mind - especially, but not limited to, the Orthodox Jews in the United States or for that
matter Religious Zionist Israelis.
Simply put, if it were up to Dershowitz, who supports the two state solution by the way, Israel would be a small nation of all its people stripped of any nationalistic identity...

When
one takes the time to view Dershowitz – in small dosages, that is to maintain
one's sanity - it becomes rather apparent that not only is Dershowitz a big
huff of hype, but he also is rather uneasy when it comes to anything which
slightly invokes the concept of a Jewish state. Clearly, for Dershowitz, the
concept of a Jewish State, for the Jewish nation, under one God is the worst
thing since sliced bread (most likely because it
painfully reminds Dershowitz of his days as a young Orthodox boy collecting for
the global Mizrachi in Borough Park, and he happened to like Challah).
With all that said, however, people like Dershowitz (usually)
tend to be harmless, especially in the Trump era where liberals have little control
over US or Israeli foreign policy - Thank God!.
True, Liberal Jews, like
their gentile liberal progressive counterparts, do much to undermine core
American values through the pretense of social justice, but it's rather hard to
blame them as social justice causes are rather in vogue these days.
Yet the
readers are obviously wondering what I’m getting at?
Well just this past Thursday,
May 4th, Dershowitz as part of his Q&A titled “One
on One with Alan Dershowitz,” had a little showdown with a none other
than a former member of the Knesset and now head of the new political party Zehut, Moshe
Feiglin.
Feiglin, a polished
politician by Israeli standards, had a rather hard time deflecting this smug, pretentious, elitist, buffoon which lead, for the most part, to a rather unsatisfactory exchange...
In all honesty, however, I don't know why anyone would
submit themselves to such punishment as Dershowitz not only comes off in a
rather condescending manner but he is just simply a rude individual, and we would all gain a little bit if
Dershowitz were to mysteriously disappear and not partake in the the political discourse again.
