No Shock Here: Most Voters Think Trump Is Making Good On Promises!

By Robert Donachie of the Daily Caller

The majority of voters believe President Donald Trump is coming through on his campaign promises, according to a new Morning Consult/Politco poll.

Some 56 percent of Americans report thinking Trump is keeping the promises he made on the campaign trail... While, Just over a quarter, or 27 percent, of voters believe the president is not doing what he promised.

Trump voters overwhelmingly support the claim that Trump is making good on his promises, at 88 percent. Clinton voters, on the other hand, have a different take, with 50 percent thinking Trump is not sticking to his word.
The president promised a slew of changes on the campaign trail, promoting what he coined an “America First” agenda. His promises focused on bringing jobs back to the U.S., massively deregulating the economy, cutting taxes, boosting economic growth, renegotiating trade deals, and securing the southern U.S. border.

Trump is beginning to come through on many of his promises, largely through executive orders. The president has so far signed executive actions addressing immigration, banking and financial regulations, and labor laws. (RELATED: Trump Signed Executive Order Repealing Dodd-Frank)

The poll also finds an increased level of optimism among voters. The day after the election, 71 percent of people reported feeling the country was headed in the wrong direction. Just over a month into Trump’s presidency, only 57 percent of people feel the country is heading in the wrong the direction.
The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points. The national survey was conducted online, and polled 2,000 registered voters on Feb. 24-26.

Dershowitz Gets Cold Feet Stays with the Democrats

As reported by Deborah Hanan of Breitbart Jerusalem, Harvard law professor and political activist, Alan Dershowitz said - this past Sunday - that he would not be leaving the Democratic party and instead would fight its anti-Israel and far-Left wing from within...

Dershowitz published an oped on Friday announcing that a win for Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison in Saturday’s Democratic National Committee elections would force him to leave the party. Labor Secretary Tom Perez was selected as chairman, prompting Dershowitz to tell the the Algemeiner that he would remain in the party but “fight hard for it to move toward the center and away from the anti-Israel and far-Left trends” that have recently become du jour.
The Democratic party member and staunch defender of the Jewish state said Ellison’s defeat was “a good sign that we can win, though it will not be easy.”
Still, he continued, “I wish Perez had not appointed Ellison as his deputy. I consider Ellison to be disqualified, due to his association with Nation of Islam leader the Reverend Louis Farrakhan; his denial that Farrakhan is an antisemite; and because he opposed providing the Iron Dome missile defense system to Israel.”
The American Jewish Congress also appealed to DNC members, charging Ellison with “threatening the relationship between America and Israel.”
Dershowitz slammed the Democrats’ increasing tendency to veer to the extreme left as “self-defeating.” However, he did not agree with the view that this trend helped get President Donald Trump elected. Still, he added, “The party should not be responding to its loudest, most radical voices, but rather address the concerns of its centrist base.”
Dershowitz said he hoped to see the Democratic party restored to the days of the late senators Henry “Scoop” Jackson, Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Ted Kennedy, as well as former President Bill Clinton.
In Friday’s oped published in The Hill, Dershowitz wrote that if Ellison won:
I will quit the party after 60 years of loyal association and voting. I will become an independent, continuing to vote for the best candidates, most of whom, I assume, will still be Democrats. But I will not contribute to the DNC or support it as an institution. My loyalty to my country and my principles and my heritage exceeds any loyalty to my party. I will urge other like-minded people – centrist liberals – to follow my lead and quit the Democratic Party if Ellison is elected Chairman. We will not be leaving the Democratic Party we have long supported.  The Democratic Party will be leaving us!

ISIS Now Strapping Bombs to... Dogs?

Wow their cruelty knows no bounds...

According to new reports, the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) jihadists have been strapping bombs on stray dogs, including - as seen in this video - a puppy, to use them against U.S.-backed coalition forces in Iraq, a video posted by Iraqi government-sanctioned paramilitary fighters purportedly shows.

As seen in this video, Alleged members of the predominantly Shiite Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), an Iran-allied umbrella network of militias fighting ISIS in Iraq that is also known as the Popular Mobilization Units (PMF) and al-Hashd al-Shabi...
Check it out:
The footage shows three PMF fighters crouching near a puppy allegedly wired by ISIS with several bottles filled with explosive materials.
“This is the latest from Daesh [Islamic State], abusing an animal,” one fighter said, referring to the dog, according to Iraqi News.

Another PMF fighter asked, “What sin did it commit?”

As the Daily Mail points out: “Jihadis wanted the dog to cross the front lines towards rival forces where the device would have been detonated by remote control, according to rebels who posted video of the animal online.”
The British news outlet adds that the PMF fighters defused the improvised explosive device (IED) tied to the puppy before it was detonated.
As reported by Breitbart News it is not possible to verify the authenticity of the video at this time. In any event, ISIS has also has “booby-trapped” sheep, as has been reported by Iraqi News, adding:
Islamic State [IS] has largely relied on booby-trapped vehicles, landmines, weaponized drones and human suicide bombers in facing Iraqi troops, but it has also resorted to other extraordinary deceptive tactics such as using decoy military equipment and camouflage-dressed mannequins, and lately, booby-trapped animals. Some local observers believe the tactics signal desperation and the waning combat resources on Islamic State’s behalf.
Although most fighters are Shiite, there are Sunni tribesmen and even Christians fighting among the PMF.
The Iran-linked force, which has been legalized by the Iraqi parliament, is participating in the ongoing U.S.-backed offensive to push ISIS out of Mosul.
PMF fighters have reportedly captured territory in an around Mosul and are expected to seize more.
Amnesty International and other human rights groups have accused the mainly Shiite militiamen of committing war crimes against the Sunni ISIS jihadists and Sunni civilians.
Nevertheless, the PMF is reportedly receiving U.S. assistance in Iraq.
The U.S.-backed Iraqi government forces and their allies have liberated eastern Mosul and are currently fighting to push the jihadists out of the western half. Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city, is considered the last major ISIS stronghold in the country.

Dershowitz Would have Left Democratic Party if Ellison Won DNC Chair

Longtime Democrat Dershowitz would have left Democratic Party If Ellison Elected Chair

By Caroline May of the Daily Caller with edits by YM

Longtime Democrat Alan Dershowitz said he would have left his party if it would have elected Minnesota Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison to be the next chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

“There has been powerful push from the hard-left of the Democratic Party, led by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), to elect Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) chairman,” Dershowitz wrote in an op-ed for The Hill published Friday. “If he is elected, I will quit the party after 60 years of loyal association and voting.”
This weekend Democrats are convening in Atlanta to choose their next leader. Ellison is considered a top candidate for the job. If he wins, however, Dershowitz, a Harvard professor and Israel supporter, says not only is he leaving the party but he will encourage other “like minded,” “centrist liberals” to join him.

Of specific concern to Dershowitz is Ellison’s “association with anti-Semitism.”

“He worked with and repeatedly defended one of a handful of the most notorious and public anti-Semites in our country: The Reverend Louis Farrakhan,” Dershowitz wrote. “And worked with Farrakhan at the very time this anti-Semite was publicly describing Judaism as a ‘gutter religion’ and insisting that the Jews were a primary force in the African slave trade.”

Dershowitz explained that he does not believe Ellison’s claims that he was unaware of Farrakhan’s anti-Semitism, noting that the Minnesota lawmaker himself has a history of making anti-Semitic remarks.

“A prominent lawyer, with significant credibility, told me that while he was a law student, Ellison approached her and said he could not respect her, because she was a Jew and because she was a woman who should not be at a law school,” Dershowitz wrote, adding that “I believe she is telling the truth.”

The Harvard law professor continued, explaining that Ellison’s “[v]oting record with regard to the Nation State of the Jewish people is among the very worst in Congress.”
Dershowitz added that he was also unconvinced by Ellison’s recent “apology tour.”

“[H]is apologies and renunciations of his past association with anti-Semitism have been tactical and timed to his political aspirations,” Dershowitz wrote.

If Ellison was elected this weekend, Dershowitz wrote that he would be an independent and support the best candidates, which he predicts will largely still be Democrats. But, he wrote, his support for the Democratic Party “as an institution” would have been over...

Obviously the democratic party felt it was not ready to get rid of Dershowitz just yet and Ellison lost to Tom Perez and hardcore Hillary and Obama supporter...
